Well for starters, I'm a sophomore in high school. I am a horseback rider, and I love it with all my heart. So go figure, many of my pictures are equine-related.
I started getting into photography about 2 years ago, when I got my first camera as a birthday present which was a simple Nikon point & shoot. At that time I didn't know anything about photography, but I started becoming more creative with the way I took pictures.
So for my next birthday, I upgraded to a Canon Powershot S3 IS. It was a big step up for me because I got to teach myself about setting the shutter speed and aperture and not relying on the dreaded auto button. And finally, after months of saving up, I bought myself a Canon Rebel XTi a few months ago and not long after bought a 70-300mm lens. Boy, do I love having an SLR.
Though, don't get me wrong, I have some great pictures taken with my old point & shoot. Like they say "The camera doesn't make the photographer, the photographer makes the camera" :)
I now have a love for photography, and hope that each day I improve a little more.
